On the guardianship programme we offer our General English program inclusive of English language lessons. An assessment of the English language level is done prior to arrival and lessons prepared accordingly.
In this program , students live as part of the family and are immersed into the language and culture. We encourage students to learn the English language in context, this being the most efficacious method. This program is offered during exeat weekends, half terms and some school holidays.

Our guardianship programme is offered to children from abroad, up 17 years of age, who are in UK boarding schools. Students who are unable to return home during exeat weekends, half terms and summer school holidays can be placed in a welcoming host family for the period of time required. Cocooning (24 hour supervision ) is included .
We also offer this programme to older students, who need to build up their confidence prior to studying in a UK university. These students often require an immersion programme of intensive English language learning so that they can become acclimatised to the new language and culture.
All our teachers have an enhanced DBS (disclosure and barring service) as well as safeguarding certificates.
Programmes offered :
On the General English program lessons are taught in the mornings, after breakfast, allowing time for excursions or activities in the afternoons. During free time, students can self study or go out alone for short periods of time. (Parental permission must be given in writing) Students are encouraged to write a daily diary which they can reflect back on at the end of their stay.

On our junior program, students have their own private bedroom. Typically, the bedroom has a comfortable single or double bed, hanging space for clothes, a set of drawers and a desk and chair for private study. In some homestays, there is a TV in the bedroom. If there are any special dietary requests, we must be informed prior to arrival.

The program is inclusive of a daily excursion or activity. These are determined largely by the interests of the student. A sporting activity, tennis, horse riding, swimming, baking, arts and crafts, visiting a museum or castle, cinema, theatre, a shopping trip are among the possible trips to consider. Many outdoor activities will of course be weather dependent.

Homestay English teaching will liaise with the prospective boarding school ,agency or parent regarding transport to the homestay. Costs will be determined depending on the location of the homestay.
The General English homestays guardianship programme with cocooning, inclusive of 10 hours one to one tuition, full board accommodation in a teacher’s home with cocooning ( 24 hr supervision) and a daily activity or excursions is £1350per week ( 7 nights all inclusive)
