Culture and Conversation Homestay

Course Description

Our culture and conversation homestay for juniors or adults focuses on immersion through conversation and listening rather than the mechanics of the language. This program offers conversation during meal times, some evenings ( at the teacher’s discretion)  and during accompanied excursions.

Students live with their teacher where their language learning is ongoing on a more informal basis. The programme is inclusive of three / four half day excursions with the teacher and full board accommodation. Language is learnt in context every day, while participating in family life.

Please note that ( adult) students will be expected to venture out or occupy themselves  when not in the teachers company. This is not a 24 hour service.

Who is it for?

Our culture and conversation homestay is ideal for junior or adult students who prefer a more informal way of learning. This program is suitable for juniors who want to concentrate more on listening and conversation rather than formal study.

A bespoke program is designed for each student ensuring that each excursion or activity gives the opportunity to improve vocabulary and communication. Language learnt in context with the teacher is more likely to be remembered and will reinforce learning. Conversation for juniors will be combined with an activity sometimes in the teacher’s home as well as during excursions.
