Our English homestay for children UK program offers students the opportunity to live as part of a British family. Students are immersed into the language and culture through lessons and a strategically arranged social program. Hobbies and interests are taken into consideration, when placing a student in a family. We endeavour to match a student with the most compatible family available.
All our teachers have been vetted by us and hold a DBS ( police check) as well as a safeguarding children certificate. On our English homestay for children UK program, students are embraced and welcomed as part of the family where daily speaking practice is guaranteed.
Language is learnt, not only during lessons but also in context, during the family’s daily routine as well as sharing activities and excursions. We have teachers who are qualified to teach dyslexic students if specialist teaching is required. We can also organise a themed homestay focussing on a specific activity, on request.

The English homestay for children UK program is for youngsters between the ages of 14 and 17 years old.
We also offer a program for under 14s which includes cocooning during the whole stay.
Teachers cater for children of all levels from A1/A2 beginner and upwards.
A student’s level will be assessed prior to arrival and the program planned according to the evident language needs.
This program includes formal lessons but is geared to language learning in context. We understand that youngsters sometimes have a lower concentration span and therefore, we endeavour to make the learning fun through activities and excursions.
Students select their program, prior to arrival. Lessons are taught in the mornings by the teacher, after breakfast, allowing time for excursions or activities in the afternoons. During free time, students can self study or go out alone for short periods of time. (Parental permission must be given in writing) Students are encouraged to write a daily diary which they can reflect back on at the end of their stay. Students share the lessons, excursions and teacher when on the Plus 1 programme.

Thank you for a lovely experience. I learned many things during the homestay with Ben Whitney and his family. All activities were very exciting I will never forget these experiences

I experienced a traditional Christmas in the UK for the first time. It was a really good experience for me because I tried some Christmas food, visited some people in their houses and communicated with them. I would recommend Louise and her family to other students.

I liked my experience thanks to Gill and her family. They welcomed me very well and made me feel at home. Gill is a very good teacher. She is very kind, patient and a great educator. She introduced me to a lot of English meals and cups of tea! I enjoyed all my excursions because she prepared everything beforehand. I would recommend this homestay to other students.

I liked the activities and games very much. Lessons and food were good too. Karen is a nice teacher.

I feel my English improved a lot and I would recommend the homestay to other students. I experienced the history of the area and visited many ancient places with Helen. It was enjoyable. *****

The family was very good. That was a pleasure to meet them and to do trips and lessons with them. The food was excellent. I recommend other students to stay with Samantha Aguardo’s family.

The house is very welcoming. I think that in 2 weeks I learnt more than in 2 years. Margita is very funny and she feeds everyone a lot !
